At Cannes this year, one thing I heard consistently in meetings was how AVOD is becoming a major focus in terms of sales and profitability for indie films and that was the buzz at AFM as well. I made many, many notes about this, which is why when this Distribution Summit was proposed to our company, I knew AVOD had to be a key part — and why Kristen Bedno is truly one of the most important speakers for indie filmmakers to hear and meet there.
